2022 Nonprofit Holiday Gift Guide

Nonprofit Leadership Center

Anne Frank once said that no one ever becomes poor by giving. That’s especially true when your gifts benefit nonprofit organizations that are working to strengthen communities. The Nonprofit Leadership Center’s 2022 Nonprofit Holiday Gift Guide highlights gifts for everyone on your list, with some or all of the proceeds benefiting nonprofits.

Gifts in this guide were curated by the Nonprofit Leadership Center’s nonprofit community through a submission process in November.

Coffee That Fights Cancer

Give the gift of hope to your family, friends, colleagues and neighbors with the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation’s signature Hope Roast Coffee Gift Box. Each box includes a travel mug and a 12 oz. bag of Kahwa Coffee’s exclusive Hope Roast Coffee.

Each Hope Roast Coffee Box is $59.99, and all purchases help children battling cancer. Gift box customization options are also available.

Each set is $60, and $10 from your purchase benefits the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation to help children battling cancer.

Deck the Walls

For the person who has everything, consider a one-of-a-kind, original artwork from a well-known or innovative, up-and-coming creator. Each year, Creative Pinellas invites past professional and emerging artist grantees to participate in its Arts Annual Exhibition. This year’s exhibition features 25 artists and nearly 100 pieces of artwork for purchase online.

Artwork ranges from $40 to $15,000 per piece. 75% of the purchase price goes directly to the artist, and the other 25% benefits Creative Pinellas in its mission to support artists and arts organizations in Pinellas County, Florida, and to bring free, high-quality arts experiences to the community.

Celebrate the season with whimsical and inspirational holiday greeting cards designed by MacDonald Training Center artists. Each pack of 10 cards with envelopes features one original artwork with a warm holiday greeting inside. From angels to flamingos, there are cards for Christmas, Hannukah and Kwanzaa to express every sentiment of the season.

Card packs are $10 for a set of 10.

Better Than S’mores

The Sylvia Thomas Center has partnered with Cozy Bee Wicks in Plant City, Florida, to create a warm scent just in time for the holidays. Their “Forever” candle is Fireside + Marshmallows and is named to conjure the image of a child huddled around a campfire or firepit (maybe making s’mores) with their new Forever Family. This 3-oz. hand-poured coconut soy candle is only available online.

The Sylvia Thomas Center for Adoptive and Foster Families is committed to keeping the “forever” in Forever Families by providing adoptive and foster children and their families the necessary tools and supports to enable them to bond and thrive.

Each candle is $15, including shipping.

Shine Bright With Custom Candles and Gifts

A Kid’s Place provides a safe, loving and nurturing home for foster children from birth to age 22 who have been removed from their homes due to abuse, neglect or abandonment. They’ve partnered with Seventh Avenue Apothecary to make custom candles that give hope to foster children (because you can never have too many candles, right?).

Candles come in two distinct scents: “Hope,” a blend of White Tea + Fig and Green Clover + Aloe and “Wish,” a blend of Chai Latte + Christmas Tree.

There is also a “Shine Bright” Collection created by two teens who previously received services from A Kid’s Place. They created campfire mugs perfect for sipping hot cocoa or leaving milk in for Santa to dip his cookies. This collection also includes T-shirts, tanks and totes so you can help spread awareness about foster care and let the world know you change lives. All purchases help brothers and sisters stay together during their time in care.

A variety of candle sizes and gift baskets are available, ranging from $11 to $55.

Leave a Lasting Legacy

What’s better than seeing your name in lights? How about seeing it in brick?

This holiday season, you can purchase a brick for a loved one or your family to appear in the front walkway of the James B. Sanderlin Neighborhood Family Center. This nonprofit in St. Petersburg, Florida, focuses on improving the community through a variety of education, employability, enrichment and family support programs. It is named after Judge James B. Sanderlin, the first Black Pinellas County judge and first Black Circuit Court Judge, among many other outstanding contributions and accomplishments.

Bricks are 4″ x 8″ and available in three different colors, sandstone, green and brown. Each brick can contain 63 letters in up to three rows of 21 letters. Costs range from $50 to $100 based on color selections.
