Are you new to raising money from event sponsorships? Then I have the course for you.

For over a year now, I've been presenting How to Sell Event Sponsorships - A Step By Step Guide over at CharityHowTo. During this time, I've been tinkering with the course and making it better and better. The course has always attracted a good crowd and gotten great reviews, but now it's hitting a new level of success and participation and I want to make sure you know about it.

In this 90-minute course, you'll learn:

1. The difference between charity sponsorships and marketing sponsorships and what businesses expect from each.

2. Why the key to sponsorship success isn't your nonprofit's event assets (e.g. your walk, run, ride, gala, etc.), but the event audience connected to that asset. I'll show you how to better understand that audience and how to pitch them to potential partners.

3. How to fill your pipeline with leads using three prospecting circles.

4. How to create and offer benefits that partners will love with my thriller, filler, spiller technique.

5. How to move sponsors from hello to signed deal in five meetings.

6. The three types of decision makers and what you need to say to win over each type.

This is a great webinar, folks, and it's only 87 bucks. You get the webinar, a recording and bonus materials. Plus, you can ask me all the questions you want during the webinar and afterward via email. I take care of everyone during the webinar, but if you are an email subscriber you get A++ service.

One last point: this is a Sponsorship 101 course. It covers the basics. If you've been in sponsorship for a few years, or have had wild success selling sponsorships, this webinar isn't for you (You could probably teach me a thing or two!). But if you're new to event sponsorship, or not seeing the sponsorship success you want, this course is perfect for you.

Here are some upcoming dates: TODAY at 1pm, March 12th, March 28th. See you later today or later this month!

✍️ Partnership Note

1. Nonprofits won't accept the millions vice brands (e.g. weed, porn) have raised for them. But they did take the $444 million Wells Fargo gave them to offset bad PR after the bank screwed over customers.🧐

2. Two things to expect from The Body Shop in 2019: updated cause products and more in-store events around causes in order to promote the brand’s activism more clearly.

3. One year after Dick's Sporting Goods banned guns in its stores, their CEO reflects on the ups and downs and if they would do it all over again. Even with their decision on guns, consumers still view Dick's as more Republican than Democrat.⬆︎ Remember, taking a major stand on a social issue is tricky and not all businesses thrive from the move.

4. Retailer Best Buy is hot right now. How are they succeeding when other retailers are closing stores (300 store closing on just one day last week!)? This interview with Best Buy's CEO explains the retailer's success - and what you should be looking for in other partners.

🤑 Marketing Your Cause

1. Here's a good slide for your partnership deck.⬆︎ Consumers want more from brands on social media than just talk about products and services.

2. I often talk about Mark Horvath of Invisible People in my speeches. Both in marketing and with corporate partnerships, Mark does a tremendous job - and he's just a one-person nonprofit! Check out his new website, which was partly funded by Hanes Brands, and read his post on how the new site and logo were developed. I have to admit, I liked the new logo more after I read Mark's explanation!

3. As you know, I'm a huge fan of email marketing and newsletters. But some people ask me: Is email the right channel for Millennials? Good news: Yes! Bad news: You're not following their rules for email marketing. Here are 12 to consider.
