Three things this week...

1. Dan Cohen of Cause Partners did a wicked awesome job last week laying down the knowledge on selling corporate partnerships. This is a Cause Docs clinic you either don't want to miss or should listen to again! You can watch the replay here. It's well worth your time.

2. I'm excited to be part of the first-ever international conference dedicated to corporate-charity partnerships. It's called Corporate Partnerships Everywhere and they have a great lineup of speakers planned for Thursday, February 25th. You can signup up here for just $66. I look forward to seeing you there!

3. Is your nonprofit hiring summer interns for its communications or media team? Boy, do I have the person for you! She's a junior at the George Washington University majoring in journalism and mass communication and minoring in public health. She's interned at MSNBC, NBC News, the TODAY Show, and The Hill. She's also an executive producer at GW’s campus TV-station. I can vouch for her because I know her parents. Let's just say they are the finest people. 🎩 You better grab this supahstah before she's gone!

✍️ Partnership Notes

1. For this action-triggered donation program on Instagram, this company is making one donation for posts and a second smaller donation for stories. 'Pantsdrunk' benefits the James Beard Foundation.

2. Planters, Budweiser and Kia are all donating the money they planned to spend on the Super Bowl this Sunday to causes instead. Also, the NFL 🏈 is scrambling to keep charitable Super Bowl events in Tampa.

3. Five underused video ideas to generate partnership leads. I'm seeing more of #3 - videos in email campaigns. This might be a great way to introduce yourself to prospects and get noticed! Interested? Here's a step-by-step guide on how to include video in your emails. Don't embed them!

4. A tech company is teaming up with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital to send one lucky donor into outer space. πŸš€ Watch for their ad during the Super Bowl! DoorDash and Volvo Cars USA are also airing cause-related ads.

πŸ€‘ Marketing Your Cause

1. Not cause-related, but a great example of how a Boston home inspector is using Instagram - and the crazy things he finds in people's homes - to build an audience for his business. Happy to email you the article, but you can also go right to his Instagram page.

2. Why Clubhouse is a gold mine for marketers and entrepreneurs [and nonprofits??] right now. β€œClubhouse isn’t delivering content, it’s delivering conversations.” If you are using Clubhouse right now, I'd love to hear from you!

3. Jason Falls has some great advice on how to how to hijack the Super Bowl - or any major event - with Influence Marketing

1. A great write-up here on charity: water's successful recurring gift strategy. "We don't ghost you."

2. Someone is getting fired this week. Hospital philanthropy office offered early COVID-19 vaccines to donors. AFP is not happy. πŸ’‰πŸ’°πŸ˜‘
