I don't leave Boston often, but when I do it's for two reasons. The first is to visit YOU to help with your your cause marketing campaigns. The second is to to go London! Did you know that I'm a yuuuge Anglophile?

Favorite TV Show of All Time: Downton Abbey

Favorite Book: A Christmas Carol

Favorite Comedian: Mr. Bean

Childhood Hero: Lord Byron

Last Time I Cried: Prince Harry & Meghan Markle's wedding. 😭

See, I'm a serious lover of all things British! That's why I'm heading to London next month and I want to meet you for a Cup of Joe! If you're interested in learning more, just hit reply. The first week of July I'll send you an email with a time and location. I'm staying near Westminster Abbey (I know, so touristy!) so we'll meet near or at my hotel.

I will be traveling outside of London (within a couple of hours) so if you're not in London proper let me know where you are. Maybe we can have a Cup of Joe in your area!

I'm really looking forward to my trip and seeing YOU!

Partnership notes 📝

🏞Since 2013, the National Park Foundation (NPF) has grown its corporate partnerships program  [subscription required] from $5 million to $90 million. While most nonprofits are lucky if they raise five percent of funds from companies, NPF raises a whopping 18 percent from corporate partners. I spoke to NPF last year on how they identify and qualify business leads [SPONSORED LINK].

🇬🇧Since I'll be there next month....14 great UK corporate-charity partnerships for the month of May. The partnership that caught by eye was Helly Hansen - they make ocean gear - and the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) - they save lives at sea. They'll be working together to deliver drowning prevention messages, to raise money and to supply lifesaving kits to RNLI lifesavers. Bonus: Check out the story of Jack Lowe. He's photographing all 238 RNLI stations using Victorian-era photographic methods! He's funding his work via Patreon.

😭Get out the tissues. This Father's Day surprise video from Canadian airline WestJet and Ronald cDonald House Charities won gold at the Engage for Good Conference last month.

👦🏽State Farm’s research revealed that 70 percent of millennials and Gen Xers love to volunteer, but only 25 percent actually do it. So the brand set out to close what it called the “intention gap” with an experiential marketing program. And get this: the campaign generated a boost in both awareness and an influx of leads to State Farm’s 19,000-member sales force.

Marketing your cause 🤑

📊Nonprofits don't usually offer discounts or sales. But they can produce content that teaches, inspires and entertains. ↖️

🅾️In honor of World Blood Donor DayOMD and the American Red Cross decided to highlight the alarming lack of blood donations across the world by getting 26 media outlets to either drop the As, Bs or Os from their logos (the blood types missing from hospital shelves) or reimagine them in red.

🤖The robots have arrived: how nonprofits can make sure they will help not hurt.

🎈This may have been the most disastrous nonprofit event in history.
