Newsletter: 7-Steps to Deliver a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Partnership Experience; A Framework for Speaking Up on Social Issues 📣 ; For Some the New MDA Telethon is Unwelcome News 🗞

Three things this week...

1. What's in a name? A big thank you 🙏to everyone who's written back over the past week to share how they want to be addressed in the salutation of this newsletter. It's nice to be on a first name basis with more of you!

2. Access to paywalled articles. Several readers pointed out last week that this article - which turned out to be the most clicked link in last week's newsletter - was behind a paywall. I often flag these posts and offer to email you the article. But last week I forgot! Readers politely asked if I would still be willing to email them the article. Of course! Please know that anytime you hit a paywall from a link in this newsletter you can hit reply and ask me to send the article to you. It take me two seconds to send and I'm happy to do it!

3. I'm all ears. A couple weeks ago I shared a great list of social impact podcasts. Question: What podcasts do you listen to that aren't directly focused on social impact, but help you with your work?

I'll go first.

I regularly listen to This Old Marketing and Six Pixels of Separation. I learn a lot from both these podcasts and they help me produce better work. Now it's your turn. Leave a comment below and share which podcasts you listen to that make you a better partnership/fundraising professional!

Now on to this week's curated links!

🧠🍌 Brain Food

1. Opinion: the return of the MDA Telethon is unwelcome news. Who's going to break the bad news to Salesforce, the title sponsor. 😬

2. If we want more companies like Patagonia, we need laws to enforce it.

3. A pandemic winter draws near. 🥶🦠It doesn't have to suck. According to psychologists, a sense of purpose - yay! - and two other ways to look outward and not inward will help!
