Newsletter: Creative Examples of Benefits for Virtual Sponsors 🎁 ; OkCupid Wants You to be a VILF in November πŸ’˜ ; 5 Ways to Market Your Nonprofit in Age of Resistance ✊

Three things to share with you today...

First, join Doctors Waters and Giagrando (the Cause Docs!) for a FREE clinic that will address all your complaints, issues and problems around corporate partnerships. It's all happening tomorrow, September 24, at 2pm EDT.

Second, the next Learning Club meeting is next Thursday, October 1st at 4.pm. EDT. This month's learning club is all about personal branding and social impact career growth.

Third, be sure to check out our sponsor today ⬇️, my friends at For Momentum. They just released a wildly informative report on Key Elements of Best in Class Cause Campaigns. The report shares six elements common to ALL successful campaigns. Interesting!

1. I want to curate some creative examples of benefits for virtual event sponsors. I came across this πŸ‘†from the Mass Historical Society. Gala treat delivery? 🍰Cocktail corner breakout room?🍸What creative things have you offered virtual event sponsors? Hit reply and tell me! I'll pull a list together for readers.

I also like this from Kentucky-based Lighthouse Recovery Services. When their annual fundraising event - which added up to $5,000 to their coffers - was cancelled they decided instead to sell bed sponsorships πŸ› for $100 each. Donors will be recognized on a plaque that will be hung in the residential houses early next year.

They are hoping to sell 44 bed sponsorships. I was so impressed I bought one! So now they only need 43. I made the donation on behalf of "The Readers of Selfish Giving" πŸ₯°. Times are tough, but not so tough you can't give something in thanks for the people you care about.

2. A great campaign from Meals on Wheels called Don't Stop. Company stakeholders can: share a video, signup for email updates (smaht!) and/or start a fundraiser. Here's the best part: 27 companies are already participating.

3. OkCupid want you to be a VILF in November.πŸ’˜

4. Ben & Jerry's: What we do is NOT cause-related marketing.

🧠🍌 Brain Food

1. In a K-shaped economic recovery, nonprofits should focus on this funding source.

2. I love this: are you an ideas-led organization? They are built on five common behaviors.

3. These are hilarious...and clevah. This Austin movie theater regularly changes its marquee to comment on the times. My fave: "At this point, if a clown invited me into the woods I would just go." 🀑 πŸ˜‚
