✍️ Partnership Notes

1. I'm inspired by readers like Terri Shoemaker at the Arizona Food Bank Network. Despite all the hardships of 2020 they are plowing forward with a new point-of-sale program.πŸ‘†Liquor retailer BevMo that will be asking customers to round-up their purchase at the registers of five Arizona locations!

But BevMo is a large chain with 140+ other stores in the west, mainly in California. Who are those other stores raising money for??? πŸ€”

2. Golf tournament sponsorships could be a hot opportunity in 2021. Also, companies that sell golf-related equipment should be on your prospect list!

3. 15 ways to generate more partnership leads in 2021.

πŸ€‘ Marketing Your Cause

1. The Rule of Seven says that you need to engage with a prospect at least seven times before she will buy. Here are five ideas for making sure you hit that magic number! Of course, I love #5: Newsletters.

2. Mark Horvath at Invisible People has grown his Youtube channel from 40K views a month to 40 million! He shares his thoughts on audience building and his frustration with traditional fundraising. Audience building is worth the time but it takes time too!

3. A few helpful suggestions here on effective storytelling. I like #4: A great image and a great headline can tell the whole story.πŸ’₯

😎 Cool Jobs in Cause

🧠🍌 Brain Food

1. Black-led organizations that saw a huge lift in donations in 2020 have a new challenge in 2021: Keeping those new donors engaged.

2. The rise of the charcuterie-free 'charcuterie board.' Next time you meet with a prospect (2022?) bring them a charcuterie board of partnership options. How cool would that be? Sure to be a hit! πŸ§€πŸ‡
