Caroline Rossignol has been named president of the aluminum company’s foundation, which makes grants for conservation, education, and job skills.
Most recently she was director of global corporate responsibility at Idexx, an animal-health diagnostics and medical-devices company, where she also led the Idexx Foundation.
Nathan Cummings Foundation
Kristi Cunningham Whitfield is joining the $460 million foundation as its first chief impact officer and director of racial justice.
She was previously the director of Washington, D.C.’s Department of Small and Local Business Development.
National Center for Youth Law
Shakti Belway has been promoted from deputy director of policy, litigation, and programs to executive director. She is the first woman and person of color to lead the youth-law group.
Belway has served as its interim co-executive director since Jesse Hahnel departed in February to become senior program officer for democracy and environment at Crankstart.
World Childhood Foundation USA
Mary Pulido has been tapped as executive director.
She has been executive director of the New York Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children since 2001.

Jessica Culpepper will serve as the first executive director of FarmStand, a new legal-advocacy group that has spun off from Public Justice to improve environmental, labor, and animal-welfare practices in agriculture. She was previously director of the Food Project at Public Justice.
Felix Lugo, director of student life and international enrollment at Mission College Preparatory Catholic High School, has been appointed executive director of the High School Inc. Academies Foundation.
Mara Manus, executive director of the New York State Council on the Arts, will become CEO of Pioneer Works in October. She will replace Jill Eisenhard, who has served as interim executive director since Maxine Dalio departed at the end of last year.
Barbara Martinez, media-relations chief at Uncommon Schools, is now executive director of the New Jersey Children’s Foundation. She follows Kyle Rosenkrans, who founded the organization five years ago.
Isabelle Moses will become ProInspire’s co-CEO alongside Bianca Anderson, beginning next year. Moses was most recently a senior adviser to the executive office at Faith in Action, and she has served on ProInspire’s board since 2015.
Michaela Pommells will now serve as executive director of the Youth First Justice Collaborative. Previously she was state campaign director for the Care, Not Control Campaign, which advocated the closure of youth prisons in Pennsylvania.
Stanley Richards, deputy CEO at the Fortune Society, will be promoted to president and CEO on January 1. He will become the first formerly incarcerated person to lead the organization when he succeeds JoAnne Page, who is stepping down after 34 years at the helm.
Aaron Rosen has been appointed executive director of the Clemente Course in the Humanities, a nonprofit group that offers free college courses to adults. Rosen was previously director of Wesley Theological Seminary’s Henry Luce III Center for the Arts and Religion.
Ivy Tillman has become executive director of Public Responsibility in Medicine and Research. She was previously director of research operations at the Mayo Clinic.
Marvin Webb, chief financial officer at Funders for LGBTQ Issues, will be the first executive director of the Nonprofit Financial Commons.

Priya Ananthanathan has joined Denham Wolf Real Estate Services as director of development services, in which role she will assess, structure, and negotiate real-estate development projects for nonprofit groups in New York City. Most recently she was a vice president at the New York City Economic Development Corporation.
Lilly Bjorkman, assistant director of development for Mississippi State University’s College of Business, has been promoted to associate director of corporate and foundation relations at the Mississippi State University Foundation.
Marcus Dennis, associate director of marketing at Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business, has been appointed chief marketing officer at Certell Inc., a nonprofit developer of online curricula.
Susan Klusmeier, vice provost for academic success for the University of Kansas, has been hired as chief of staff at the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation.
Hillary Zilz has been named chief legal officer at FJC: a Foundation of Philanthropic Funds, a sponsor of donor-advised funds and other philanthropic accounts. Most recently she was a partner at the law firm Schlam Stone & Dolan.
Departures
Anthony Freud will retire as general director of the Lyric Opera of Chicago at the end of its 2023-24 season. He has led the opera for 13 years.
Tim Hanstad, CEO of the Chandler Foundation since 2018, will step down as its leader in October. He will remain with the foundation in Seattle as vice chair of its Board of Directors.
Legacy
Robert Addison Day, the longtime chairman and CEO of the W.M. Keck Foundation, died on September 14. The $1.5 billion foundation was established in 1954 by his grandfather W.M. Keck, the founder of Superior Oil. Day served as its CEO from 1995 through 2021. He was also the founder and former CEO of Trust Company of the West, a global asset-management firm.
