Megan Strand and I are back with another learning club discussion on Thursday, December 3 at 4pm EST.

This time around, we'll tackle the complex topic of racial justice in corporate social impact efforts.

Hairy topic, right? That's why we've invited a pair of experts to join us.

To kick off our discussion, Kari Hayden Pendoley, Global Lead of Social Impact at Rodan+Fields, and Carrie Pena, Chief Experience Officer at buildOn will share how their partnership has tackled this issue and share the framework for their partnership model, which was built on servant leadership, trust, and strong solidarity with the communities being served.

The immersion program they built has been bringing together donors and grantees for six years, and with the help of experts like McKinsey and Northwestern, has strong guardrails to ensure these experiences are empowering, inclusive, and grounded in antiracism.

The program has been replicated by Salesforece, GE and others resulting in $20M in additional funding from new corporate donors for buildOn.
