Let’s face it, media relations isn’t near the top of the priority list at most nonprofits. Nor should it be. Nonprofits don’t exist to grab sexy headlines. They exist to solve problems and make the world a better place — and their resources are best spent on actively working on solve those problems. Culture building. A topic that tends to be a bit of an enigma at any business. In the nonprofit sector specifically, culture building is daunting and confusing, not to mention, seemingly costly. Last week the mainstream media marked the death of Michael ‘Jim’ Delligatti, who invented McDonald’s two-tiered burger at his Uniontown, Pennsylvania franchise. He was 98.
