There are many lessons to be learned from Indigenous aquaculture practices, especially in the areas of climate mitigation, adaptation, resilience, resource management, and food sovereignty. By some estimates, production from our fisheries and agriculture in native crops like taro has fallen by as much as 90 percent. 4 (See Figure 1.).
