The purpose, the whole point, is to legitimize it—to be able to make it visible and put it in the context of the culture of giving and how that looks for people of color. We were able to recruit 29 foundations to sign on to this pledge to increase their funding to at least 30 percent to BIPOC-led environmental justice movements.
