Last week I took my mother to Walmart for a few things and the person behind me in checkout line was decked out in pajamas and robe like he had just left the Playboy Mansion. But I should be concerned that he'll tell everyone back at the Motel 6 grotto I'm a cheapskate? Oh, the misery! ??

I thought, "Heck, what nonprofit doesn't want that!" Walmart raised $921,000 for Children's of Alabama through a Children's Miracle Network (CMN) fundraiser. The funds were generated by more than 115 Walmart stores and Sam's Clubs in Alabama late last year through customer and member donations. And it worked spectacularly!
